FULLERTON, Calif. — In their last tune-up before the conference tournament, the SDC men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Cal State Fullerton Invitational on Friday afternoon.

The women's team finished without a team score and the men finished ninth out of nine teams.

Mayra Espitia finished first for the women with a time of 23:26 in the 5k. Her time was good for 60th out of 69 runners. Amairani Guillen was next for SDC with a time of 31:52 and in 68th place. Alejandra Lopez finished out the runners in 69th and a time of 32:41.

On the men's side, Daniel Camacho topped all SDC runners with a time of 30:01 and in 105th place. Dane Vega was next with a time of 31:35 and overall finish of 115th. Hunter Ennis, Peter Gomez and Aidan Bercheck rounded out the runners for the Hawks.

SDC will have two weeks off before the GSAC Championships held in Rocklin, Calif. hosted by William Jessup. The original location was set for Orange, Calif. and to be hosted by Vanguard but the fires in the area destroyed the park where the meet was going to be held.
