[Cross Country] Men's and Women's Cross Country Run Well in Meet before GSAC Championships

SAN MARCOS, Calif. -- In the last meet of the season prior to the GSAC Championships the Hawks continue to show improvement. 

Leading the way on the men's side for the 4th meet in a row, Jose Nobles placed 36th overall (29:08.9).  Danny Camacho once again held onto the 2nd spot on the team finishing in 38th place in a season best 30:02.4, followed closely by Dane Vega in 41st place running a lifetime best by over a minute finishing in 30:24.2.  Rounding out the group was Gabe Lindblom in 46th (31:51.9), Peter Gomez in 48th (Season Best 34:18.4) and Aidan Bercheck in 49th (Season Best 34:42.1)

On the women's side the race was the longest race the Hawks will run at 6K. Typical race distance is 5K. Michelle Morgan went out with the lead pack and held her top spot for the team placing 31st (24:24.3).  Samantha Campos, donning the Hawk uniform for the first time as a cross country athlete placed 47th (27:19.0) and rounding out the group was Desiree Alvarez, running her 2nd race ever, placing 54th (32:11.7). 

Next up for the Hawks is the GSAC Championships on November 3rd in Santa Clarita, CA.
